The choir began to meet in early November 2022 Restoration Project The congregation voted to replace the carpet, re-do paint, repave parking lots, extend sound room and online stream, and other projects. The work began in late May and was completed in early September Ladies Day Retreat The GEMS ministry of Mohn's Hill brought together 17 different churches to learn about how to be a "Positive Patty in a Debbie Downer World" Easter Morning Easter morning celebrations included a breakfast, the children's bell choir (pictured), a soloist, and an amazing time of worship The Evangelism Team at Work The Evangelism Team prepared gifts for the graduates of the Kiddy City Preschool class of 2022 Love Your Neighbor The Spiritual Care committee of the church encouraged those who attend Mohn's Hill to show love to each other with cards, encouragement, and candy in the month of February Food Drive for the Mifflin Community Food Bank Our partnership with the MCFB continues to grow as we collected food in February and continue to supply volunteers to help one Saturday a month Pastor Ken is Silly Again In the February 6th service, Pastor Ken donned a cape and mask and became Super Pastor, the man who can solve no one's problems, but can point you to Jesus who can Celebrate Recovery Meets at CityGate The CR ministry that assist people with their hurts, habits, and hangups, began to meet at CityGate in Ephrata in January 2022 Youth Group Plays Crab Soccer The youth group gathered in their January meeting to play crab soccer and enjoy some pizza. See church calendar for details Mohn's Hill BUILDS The 2022 annual congregational meeting was held where the theme of BUILD (Building Under the Influence of the Lord's Direction) was introduced Youth Visit Lehigh Valley Zoo The youth group visited the Lehigh Valley Zoo, noting the wonderful creations that God has given us Arlo is Presented to the Church In a wonderful moment of the service, Taylor and Ariana presented their son before the church and dedicated him to the Lord. We praise the Lord for this wonderful family Adamstown Backyard Kid's Club We had a great week of vacation bible school in the Adamstown Grove. Lots of learning about how "Jesus Power Pulls Us Through" and tons of fun happening everywhere! The Church also held a food drive in which 500 pounds of food were donated for the pantry BKC X: A Wild Animal Christmas We took over the Adamstown YMCA with a bunch of kids for some wild animal Christmas fun! We had a blast, playing games, making ornaments, creating our own Christmas creations, going on a True Christmas story hunt, and finally going on a scavenger hunt to fill a pair of socks for ourselves and one to give away. What an eXtremely fun night! The Church Working Together On our clean up day the teens and teen leaders came together to paint as the adults cleaned up the outside property and the old fellowship hall We are Ready for Advent Volunteers came together to decorate the church as we prepare for the Advent season Church Collects for OCC The church collected a total of 177 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child this year The Church Dedicates the New Lift The church lift project is complete and operational allowing those with mobility issues to move between floors without leaving the building The New Playground and Interior Painting are Complete Volunteers from Mohn's Hill EC worked together to get the playground in place and paint the interior of the church in preparation for our new preschool starting in the Fall of 2020. Mission Minded Kids Event was Awesome! Jan Yelk and a team of volunteers took the children all around the world (without ever leaving the building) to explore the places where our missionaries live. The trip included an understanding of the culture, food, and games that are played by children there. Men's GOLD Meets for Oktober Fest The Men met for sausage sandwiches, pretzels, and root beer as we welcomed October in The Church Celebrates The Church gathered together for our Celebration Sunday service to listen to all the blessings God has given to us Our Newest Member Terry became the newest member of the family at Mohn's Hill EC. In honor of the celebration, Joy, one of the teens, created two pictures of Mohn's Hill that will be displayed in the fellowship Hall. Men Gather for Lunch The church took time to recognize the men of the church by holding a special lunch for them. The guest speaker was Pastor Dan from Painted Soldier's ministry who spoke about how we are loved by God who is our Heavenly Father Preston Lindenman is Baptized The church had the privilege to baptize into the faith Preston on 5/19/2019 Ladies Gems Cookout The ladies ministry of GEMS celebrate the coming of summer with their annual cookout Teacher and Discipleship Training Seminar The church hosted a teacher and discipleship seminar featuring Josh Good of Christian Endeavor. Feel the Thorns: Good Friday Pastor Ken lead the kids through a hands-on Good Friday experience. The kids got to see, hear, and feel their way through Jesus' Good Friday story. Museum of the Bible Bus Trip On Saturday April 13, a bunch of us went to visit the Museum of the Bible. One day is not nearly enough for this wonderful place to visit. But the day was full of lots of learning and memories! BKCX Was Awesome Our Backyard Kid's Club Extreme met at the Adamstown YMCA and the children played games, ate snacks, learned about Creation and science, and made a craft The Soup Cook-off The church held a first soup cook-off featuring nine different soups. Attendees voted for their favorite and Linda's Cream of Potato Soup was the winner The Youth Make a Special Treat The youth group came together and prepared danishes for the entire congregation after the church service on 2/24. Many Thanks to our youth leaders and the youth for the great surprise Ladies PJ Party The Spiritual care Committee held its first ever PJ party. The ladies of all ages gathered and played games, ate great food, and enjoyed each other's company Men's GOLD Meeting- BaconFest! We rejoice that God is moving in his life and the life of Mohn's Hill EC Christmas Celebration 2018 The church family came together for a night of singing Christmas songs, hearing the Christmas story, and a wonderful Christmas meal. Backyard Kids Club EXtreme had an event at the beginning of December where children were able to celebrate Jesus' birthday. The night was complete with games, decorating stockings, making gifts for other children, hearing the Christmas story, and of course a birthday bash with cake and games! Happy Birthday Jesus! Turkey Hat Sunday Each year, on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, the congregation is given the opportunity to give God praise while wearing a silly turkey hat. Many thanks were given. The Children Pray The children of the church prayed for other children who will receive the Operation Christmas Child Shoe boxes. Volunteers Assist Bushkill EC A group of Mohn's Hill volunteers traveled to Bushkill Falls to assist Bushkill EC Church convert an old bar into their new church building. Many thanks to all who helped Adamstown Backyard Kids Club In one week we have so much to celebrate! There were a lot of kids and adults from the communities as well as numerous churches who came together to learn about and celebrate that Jesus rescues. We had so much fun and experienced so much. We are praising God for all He continues to do! Church Picnic Mohn's Hill celebrated Summer with its Annual Picnic. A great time of food, games, and fellowship (Pictured: a banana eating contest, bubble blowing relay, wheel barrel/watermelon challenge) The ministry of RVICS (Roving Volunteers in Christ's Service) presented their ministry to the men at the recent Men's lunch. The lunch included roast beef, mashed potatoes, and salad. The church recently welcomed Bob and Sandy Storm into membership. We welcome them to our family. Mohn's Hill recently held a Celebrate Sunday event which featured the incredible happenings on the Hill. Speakers included Mission Minded Kids (pictured), Pillars, GEMS, and the Youth Group Teresa Ogden conducted some fun games at the recent Ladies Brunch. The event included chicken cor-don blue, rice pilaf, and assorted desserts. The guest speaker for the event was Sarah Atwood The ladies GEMS ministry held a one day retreat featuring missionary Janice Stolfuz. The day included food, fellowship, and fun. The church's annual Easter Egg hunt was a big success thanks to Mrs. Diane and her many helpers. The children and adults gathered for the first "Feel the Thorns" Service which explained the crucifixion of Jesus. The children were also able to pet a baby lamb. The church held its first chili cook-off contest on Saturday March 25. The contested pitted 10 people in a race to see who had the best chili recipe. Saturday, March 17th we took over the Adamstown YMCA for an eXtreme night of fun. Adamstown Backyard Kids Club held an Extremely Eggciting Event! I think everyone young and old had a blast. There was a reverse Easter egg hunt, jelly bean creations to hold marshmallow peeps, games complete with droppings eggs plus much more, art creations including their own eggs and bunnies, and the kids even got to walk through the holy week story. The night was full of lots of kids, lots of energy, lots of fun, and lots of love. Jesus is alive!

Kristina became the new newest member of the Mohn's Hill family. We welcome her into membership. The church held a bridal shower for Justine and Aiden who will be married later this summer. The Teens Class came together during Sunday School to paint an Easter themed picture. The picture, depicting the cross, is a reminder for all of the gift that Jesus is to us. The children of Jordan and Claire were Presented before the congregation. In the service, the parents make promises, before the congregation, to raise their children in the Christian faith. In turn, the congregation makes promises to the parents to assist them. The wonderful celebration reminds us all that we are a community. The teen drama team performed a drama that reminded the congregation of the goodness that we should celebrate from God. The teens, led by Mrs. Vickie and Mrs. Ariana did a great job at helping us to be thankful. Jordan and Claire became the newest members of Mohn's Hill EC Church. We welcome them to the family on "The Hill." The Ladies group GEMS (Gathering, Mentoring, Encouraging, and Supporting) gathered for Choc-o-Fest in February. Loads of goodies and lots of fun were had by all that attended The church gathered for breakfast at the quarterly Celebration Sunday Celebration. Guest speakers included April Matz, who discussed the upcoming BackYard Kid's Club, and Kid's Club Extreme, Kelly Beck, who discussed the ladies ministry known as GEMS, and Connie Eagelman who informed the gathering of the upcoming church event calendar. The Anderson Family became the newest members of Mohn's Hill EC Church. Our church family is happy that they have joined us at "The Hill." |

The teen youth group sold 167 dozen cookies to buy items for shoe boxes that were sent to Operation Christmas Child. The teens raised enough money to buy 57 shoe boxes and to pay for shipping. The family at Mohn's Memorial couldn't be prouder of our incredible kids.
