The Number 12

11/27/2017

In this week's reading, we heard the number 12 used twice. The woman who had a bleeding disorder had been sick for 12 years, and the daughter of Jairus was 12 years old. While some Christians read into the numbers of the Bible, I mention them in this blog to simply highlight the occurrences of the number 12 in Scripture. See this web site for other listings of the number 12 in the Bible. http://www.biblestudy.org/bibleref/meaning-of-numbers-in-bible/12.html

I do not believe in things like this because I believe that these things are simply coincidences. Things happen for reasons and I believe that we cannot just make up something and claim that it was meant to be. Sometimes, it is okay to accept that not all things are meant to be. It is okay because everything that we do in our life has a meaning and has a reason. And those things that matter? Those are the things that are not just mere coincidences.
