Being a Christian means that you have confessed with your mouth (a public proclamation) that you believe that Jesus is God in the flesh, the second part of the Holy Trinity, and that you believe with all your heart that He physically rose from the dead.
However, that confession and belief in the resurrection is only a first step into a lifelong process of being a disciple who seeks to live out the commands and principles of what Jesus taught. That means that our decision to confess Jesus as God in the flesh and to believe in His physical resurrection now gets revealed in our life through our daily surrender to Him.
That surrender will be shown as the Holy Spirit helps us to treat others with compassion, grace, forgiveness, and love. Old and destructive patterns of hate, pride, ego, and revenge will disappear. "The faith calls for living with integrity, humility, and a commitment to love one's neighbors, as well as caring for the world around us. It’s a journey of continuous growth, rooted in faith, hope, and the belief in eternal life."
As a Christian, you will also experience a strong desire to read the Bible, to pray, and attend church to worship God with other brothers and sisters in Christ.
Are you ready to become a Christian? Simply tell God that you believe Jesus is God in the flesh who died for your sins and rose again on the third day. Tell God you are sorry for your sins and that you are inviting Him to come and lead your life. Then ask God to send you to other Christians who can assist you in your new walk with Christ.
